Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts

The Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts opened in 2006 through a partnership with Ballarat Grammar. Its main auditorium seats 857 people and uses an open round design that supports opera, live theatre and orchestral presentations. Visitors planning to attend larger-scale performances will find this layout suitable for those formats.

Ballarat Civic Hall

Ballarat Civic Hall, formerly known as Civic Hall, was renovated in 2019. It offers one of regional Victoria's largest flat floor auditoriums and presents annual seasons of events that include Victorian Opera performances. The flat-floor configuration allows flexibility for different staging needs.

Seedpod Residency Program and BPAC

The Seedpod residency program run by Punctum supplies funding, time and space for live arts and contemporary performance practitioners who live, work or study in the City of Ballarat. The Ballarat Performing Arts Community, a not-for-profit formed in 2023, manages the Ballarat Performing Arts Centre at Neill Street as a hub for local performing arts organisations. These programs support ongoing activity that visitors may encounter through public events or open sessions.
